I took on this project when I responded to an ad on Facebook. A woman wanted a rustic table with a matching bench to be created so she could gift it to her parents. She was able to finish the table and bench herself, she just needed someone to build the table and bench for her.

Because I had built a table for my parents a few months before, I felt confident I could fabricate a table and bench for the woman's parents. She wanted the set to be rustic and the photos she showed me for inspiration included angled supports, so I included angled supports in my design. I built the table so the top would be detachable from the base to make it easy for transportation and staining all the parts of the table. The bench, on the other hand, was built as one solid piece because it was smaller overall.
