The Lindsay's really wanted to remodel their kitchen, but had no idea where to start and how to incorporate everything they each wanted, so they turned to me. I was able to combine everything they wanted and they both had very similar tastes style-wise. The current layout of their kitchen is incredibly awkward since you walk through their back door and right into the peninsula.
By removing the peninsula and moving the back door more to the center of the wall, this creates more space and a more efficient layout for storage and adequate entry space. Their chimney was covered by the wall, but to go with their rustic style, I thought exposing the chimney would really elevate the space. Natural hickory cabinets add to the rustic style that was desired by the couple. However, the space was still kept modern with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops with a mosaic backsplash that includes pieces of metal.
